All right... didn't think I'd have more than one person interested, but I was wrong. So, since I have no solid way of deciding who to pick as a writer, I'm going to do this in the fairest way possible. Auditions.

Basic Guidelines: So here's how it goes. First things first, it needs to be kept in mind that, if you want to do this, you'll be working from an existing storyline, but you'll also be adding your own touches to it. Not every little thing has been worked out at this point, so you'll be taking what there is and continuing the job of the previous writer. It's also a continuing storyline, at least for a while, so this could be a commitment of a couple years or more, so keep that in mind too. (I think the prior writer worked on it for around two years or more.) You'll be doing most of the scriptwriting on your own, with both feedback and editorial comments from me, but I'm pretty forgiving. Occasionally, depending on your writing style, I may need to edit the dialogue on a page, split a page into two, or combine two pages into one. It happens, depending on how the art flows, and I can't always anticipate it either. I'm pretty relaxed about most characters' speaking styles and such, but I do tend to get picky on Tsuki and one other who hasn't been introduced yet. And the work is all on a schedule, that I'll be holding you to, around 26-30 pages every couple of months or so. Eventually I hope to increase the posting rate on pages, so it may be that many pages each month.

Writing specifics: Style of writing is generally heavy dramatic, but with occasional humor. Story rating is around a high PG-13 or so. Not quite an R.

Audition Guidelines: For the people I haven't now scared off, here's what to do.
* Go to the comic archives and read through them.
* Write a short story in script form (around 8-16 pages) using the characters. These are the characters you'll be writing, so you should try to get a good feel for them.
* Post a link to that story here (comments are screened) so I can read it.
* Do that by around October 1 or so.

Starting suggestions: There's a few ideas I have here, that you can use for a starting point on your story if you wish. If you want to write more than one, knock yourself out. ^^ And by all means, you are NOT required to use one of these ideas, they're just help.
* On Page 3.09, Cor asks Kikuko why she's with Tsuki, but doesn't get an answer. What kind of reasons might Cor come up with?
* Starting on Page 0.6, some of the "rules" of how Tsuki works come up. What are some of the rumors surrounding him, and how do people understand them?
* Page 1.26 has Cor and Remy trying a bar to find Tsuki. He's sitting there, but the bartender says he's not and tells them to get out. What's the situation there? Does the bartender know or not? What about the others there?
* On Page 1.19, Remy tells Cor she knows about Tsuki from a dream. What was the dream?
* Page 3.4 has Tsuki talking to an unidentified character. Who or what is it and what is their relationship?
* Tsuki is mentioned as someone who, while a prisoner, can get in and out of the Red Zone without difficulty (i.e. being killed by the brainchip). The gates in and out are guarded by both the Red Zone Guard (Introduced on Page 1.21) and Sevik (the sniper, Page 1.22). Have there been any interactions between those three?

Questions: If you have questions about anything, difficulties, whatever, either AIM/IM me (AIM hagachibi, I'm usually on if I"m around) or comment here (again, comments are screened and won't be public). I'll answer pretty much anything as long as I'm not going into spoiler territory. Only the person I pick gets spoilers. ^^

Basis of Decision: There are a lot of areas I'm going to be looking at to make my decision. The biggest one will be writing style, of course, but there will be other things including how well I know you and can interact with you. So talking to me is a good thing there, lets me get to know you better, and if you're picked you're going to have to talk to me anyway. ^^ (so now I've scared away the last of the people interested.) There are other things too, a vast number of them. So, if people are evenly matched, someone I know will come out ahead. On the other hand, if someone totally blows me away but I don't know them as well, I still might pick them. ALSO: I may ask of you other things, if you don't get picked. These things would be if you are willing to let me illustrate whatever you submitted for omake purposes, or if you would be willing to write the occasional omake or short story for the side-comic I'm also doing. that's a much more relaxed thing, though, without quite the guidelines of the main one. (In fact, almost no guidelines.)

I think that's anything. Ask questions or post auditions here. If I haven't scared you away with my verbose post. (See? This is why I don't write it. ^^)

Edit: Whoops, one more thing. ^^ The author is also responsible, at least in part, for the character bios that appear on the site. They'll also probably be responsible, at least in part, for working on the CG Wiki.
