Yep, it's a real post... I've also turned off LoudTwitter, didn't realize it came back to life and was posting again.

I'm looking to buy a Blu-Ray player in the very near future. Like, probably this week. So if anyone has any input on players, I'd more than welcome it. This is the shortlist of what I've narrowed it down to:

Samsung BD-C5500
* 3.5 stars on Amazon
* Lowest local price: $168
> Notes: Good internet streaming, connects via cable

LG BD550
* 4 stars on Amazon
* #10 on "top ten blu-ray players" list
* Lowest local price: $164
> Notes: Internet capable

Sony BDP-S470
* 5 stars on Amazon
* #7 on "top ten blu-ray players" list
* Lowest local price: unknown, estimate around $200 (forgot to write it down)
> Notes: extensive internet streaming options; can stream from PC

LG BDP-370
* 4 stars on Amazon
* Lowest local price: $160
> Notes: lots of online options, connects via cable

Panasonic DMP-BD65
* 4 stars on Amazon
* #8 on "top ten blu-ray players" list
* Lowest local price: $180
> Notes: good internet options, no PC networking?

What's most important to me is a good balance of Value vs Features. Ideally I'd like one that can stream from my computer, as I have tons of video files saved on here that I wouldn't mind watching easily on my TV. WiFi is not required as the TV stand is situated right next to the router, so I only need a very short cable.

If anyone has any good feedback or links on these players, it'd be most welcome!
